Both! The first delivery is live-online (May 7 - June 25). Those sessions will be recorded for asynchronous viewing/ reviewing. Ongoing instructor-led support will be provided through “office hours” held online each week. The course is still considered instructor-led, even for those who only participate in asynchronous viewing because the students are led through the knowledge areas in the lecture, not just pointed to areas to study themselves, or left to glean relevant information from slides/books.
We will cover the required 20 hours in 8 x 2.5 hour sessions. Each lesson will be recorded, edited for clarity, and made available to registrants for asynchronous viewing in the modules that follow. You must attend either the entire live session, or review the recorded session in order to receive your certificate of completion. There are lessons in addition to the session content to confirm learning that will be in the online course dashboard.
12 months by default, but extensions are available upon request.
Videos will be available for offline viewing and additional resources are linked in the course and will be added to as more become available.
Yes, a quiz will be available at course completion for practice prior to writing the Transport Canada online written exam.
Ground school is separate from the flight review process. Cost of the review will vary due to factors such as RPAS, DAA system and location.
